Delivery, Routing and use of Lifting equipment/machine
Delivery
- Home delivery (orders within Attica region)
- At Milanode, we offer home delivery with our own fleet. Delivery is free of charge within the Attica region and for orders of 1.000,00 € and above.
- For orders less than 1.000,00 €, and for any product that bears the following marking:
additional shipping charge of 50,00 € applies.
Under special circumstances, deliveries outside of Attica can be arranged, with the shipping costs being calculated on a case-by-case basis after consultation with the customer.
- Delivery at transport companies (orders outside Attica region)
Our company does not handle deliveries outside of Attica with its own means.
For orders concerning areas outside of Attica, the customer is responsible for finding a transport agency that can deliver to their area, with Attica region as the starting point. Our company will deliver the packaged products to this agency, for them to complete the delivery. Our products, given that they are delivered pre-assembled (with few exceptions), are securely packaged either in special transport boxes or in a way that ensures they are protected while still allowing their shape to be visible. This allows the transport company to determine how to place them in their vehicles for safe transport.
The above mentioned delivery policy & costs, also applies here.
CAUTION: Once the products are delivered to the transport agency chosen by the customer, the responsibility for their safe transport to the final destination lies with the agency itself. Our company is not responsible for any damages or other issues that may arise after the safe delivery of the products to the transport agency. We recommend insuring the products before their transport from the agency to the final destination.
- Warehouse pick-up
Orders may be picked up by the customer, free of charge, from our main warehouse in Koropi from Monday to Friday, 12:30 – 16:00, upon scheduled appointment.
- Retail store pick-up
Orders may be picked up from any of our retail stores, free of charge. This option is valid only for small size products (e.g. lighting fixtures, ornaments).
Delivery Scheduling & Lead Times
Upon placing an order, Milanode informs the customer of the estimated delivery or collection timeframe, which is determined based on the ordering method, the type of products, and their availability.
Orders placed at Milanode stores
Upon completion of an in-store order, the customer receives a numbered order confirmation, which clearly states the agreed delivery timeframe for the products.
If the customer requests delivery on a later date than the agreed timeframe and this delay exceeds one (1) month, storage fees may apply for the secure handling and storage of the products.
Orders placed through the online store (e-shop)
- In-stock products (not manufactured by Milanode):
For orders of in-stock products that are not manufactured by Milanode, delivery is carried out by Milanode’s delivery teams within a period of up to one (1) month, following a scheduled appointment arranged by the delivery department.
Within the first five (5) business days after the order is placed, the delivery department will contact the customer to provide a more specific delivery time window (indicatively within a ten-day range).
- Milanode custom-made products (Special Order):
If the online order includes Milanode custom-made products, identified by the indication “Special Order” on the product page, delivery lead times may vary.
Exact delivery timelines are confirmed by the delivery department, based on the production schedule of the manufacturing facility.
Collection from Milanode central warehouse (Koropi)
For orders of in-stock products with collection from Milanode’s central warehouse in Koropi, availability is estimated at approximately ten (10) days from the order date.
Collection takes place by appointment with the delivery department, during the hours 12:30 – 16:00.
Collection from Milanode stores
For product collection from a Milanode store, an estimated timeframe of approximately ten (10) days is also required, subject to coordination and appointment confirmation with the relevant department.
Delivery date confirmation
The exact delivery or collection date is confirmed at a later stage through telephone or written (email) communication by the delivery department.
Deliveries are carried out Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 18:00, by scheduled appointment.
Use of lifting equipment/machine
When placing an order, the customer is informed if any use of lifting equipment/machine is necessary for the smooth & safe transport of the products at the delivery address. Additional charges for the use of the lifting equipment/machine are strictly borne by the customer and must be paid in cash on delivery, for orders not concluded in our online e-shop. In cases where there is incomplete or incorrect information from the customer about accessibility on site, the company reserves the right to request the use of the lifting equipment/machine afterwards.
The use of the lifting equipment/machine is considered necessary in all cases where:
- the delivery is above the 2nd floor
- the delivery relates to high weight/volume products (e.g. mattresses, marbles, sofas), regardless of the floor number. If the use of elevator is not possible, the shipping terms will be re-evaluated accordingly.
- access via the stairs is limited in relation to the size of the product.
Attention: If the use of lifting equipment is not possible due to spatial restrictions, such as the presence of a pilotis, a steep slope, or a long distance of the property from the road, the customer must inform the company when completing the order. Otherwise, additional charges may arise either for the use of a different type of lift (e.g. “parrot”), or for delivery via the staircase with the assistance of our team.
Similarly, if the customer does not wish to use lifting equipment, or cannot ensure access for its setup, despite the recommendations from the delivery department, or the extra charge (for delivery via staircase with the assistance of our team where feasible), the final delivery WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE BUILDING ENTRANCE.
